I fixed this by running `sudo dpkg -r libsox-fmt-sndfile` and then `sudo apt-get -f install`, based on a suggestion from a similar issue on the Debian mailing list: http://<email address hidden> /msg538401. html
"It looks like the old libsox-fmt-sndfile (which seems to have been removed from the archive) conflicts with libsox-fmt-base. I'd suggest just removing it by hand with dpkg (aptitude was going to remove it anyway)"
Seemed to work fine for me. apt-get -f install completed successfully this time.
