Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

Hello !
I've found an error in jaunty beta :
hal recommends smartdimmer for backlight control of sony laptops (and other brands).
The current smartdimmer package isn't able to dim the light, but nvclock does and provides a smartdimmer update.
I think it's a mistake because the minimal version of smartdimmer required is 0.8b4, the actual version of nvclock :)

Thanks for the beta, i'll maybe have my backlight working correctly ^^

Good luck !

I think the reason why the recommended package is smartimmer instead nvclock, is that smartdimmer is in main and nvclock is in universe. I think that it is not possible to recommend a package that comes from universe in a package in main, in this case hal.

I don't know where the problem is, because of the version number of the recommendation....
