evolution-data-server-2.26 template not available for translation

I just realized that there's another untranslated string:

"Fetching summary information for new messages"

thank you for your bug report, those are evolution-data-server strings and translatable, not a bug

the evolution-data-server-2.26 template seems to not be available for all locales but that's a rosetta issue

I added Launchpad Translations as part of this bug, as suggested by Sebastien in a previous comment.

why did you open that extra task? that's not an ubuntu bug

Sorry, Sebastien, that was a mistake. I didn't realize it was opened yet.

I can see a Spanish translation for this on https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/evolution-data-server/+pots/evolution-data-server/es/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=Scanning+for+changed+messages and it has been in since 2006. This is most likely a problem in evolution data server, or a language pack, both outside of scope of Launchpad.

It was a mix up, evolution-data-server vs. evolution-data-server-2.24. I have merged the templates and translations. They should appear in the next language-pack update.

Yes, you or someone else from the Spanish Translation team needs to
approve the suggestions which should be used.

OK, they're all approved.

BTW, I have the following in my LC_MESSAGES:

$ ls /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/evolution-data-server*
/usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/evolution-data-server-2.24.mo
/usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/evolution-data-server-2.26.mo

So, there's a evolution-data-server-2.26.mo, but there's NO evolution-data-server.mo. Is that right? I suppose that Launchpad's evolution-data-server-2.24 template goes to evolution-data-server-2.24.mo, and Launchpad's evolution-data-server template goes to evolution-data-server.mo. Am I missing something? Why is there a evolution-data-server-2.26.mo file?

Looking at the evolution-data-server template in Launchpad I see it goes to evolution-data-server-2.26.mo

In gettext parlance, domain is translated into ".mo" filename :)

Also taking a look into the source code I see that domain name is set to
"evolution-data-server-${BASE_VERSION}"

I think that we choose to name the template "evolution-data-server" just to have a simpler display (for now).
