Bug Description
hello and thank you for taking the time to help me,
We are a few to have the same problem when we switched from 8.04 to 8.10, we started to have some wifi problem. After a random amount of time, the computer freezes. The mouse, the keyboard, the sound card, videocard, everything is stuck. It only happen when we are connected to the internet via the Wifi. It might be related to the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG since we all have this card.

Hi regre,
Care to test a few things first:
1) try installing linux-backports -modules- intrepid - it contains an updated compat-wireless stack as of master-2009-03-04
2) if that fails, can you confirm the issue remains on the latest pre-release of Jaunty 9.04 - currently Beta - www.ubuntu. com/testing/ jaunty/ beta . You should be able to test via a LiveCD.

3) In Jaunty, linux-backports -modules- jaunty also provides an updated compat-wireless stack as of master-2009-03-24. It would be good to test that too if items 1 or 2 don't work.
Please let us know your results. Thanks.
