Either not Wine bug, or duplicate of bug 10277.

Closing invalid. If you can't remove entries with outside menu editor - that's the bug with that editor not Wine.

Exactly the same situation for me, on Karmic.
Trying to rename an entry for the Wine menu

that was exactly the same bug on my karmic after revert all wine menu-folders are renamed alacarte-made and can't be renamed or deleted, i think it's a problem with wine, because all other menu entries are fine including the crossover office entries.

i don't think this bug is invalid for wine, it really only affects all wine menu-folders and subfolders, no other menu-folder is affected!

Workaround: i've just tested the following - i make a new "menu" in the menu where "alacarte-made" or "alacarte-made-2" is located and name it exactly the same, i.e. "alacarte-made" or "alacarte-made-2", shure nothing happens and after a few seconds i can select properties for the "alacarte-made" or "alacarte-made-2" and normally change the name and icon.
i think the revert option made this "menues" but didn't create links in the appropriate folder and for that reason it doesn't exist to edit the properties? perhaps? i'm totally new to Linux and i don't know if this thoughts are correct but the workaround works for me and perhaps for others?

Don't think this is invalid. It only seems to be wine entries which cannot be correctly removed.
More precisely it seems to be only icons for programs in /.wine. Icons for icons in other WINEPREFIXs work fine.

Icons for things installed in a separate WINEPREFIX work fine, it seems to be only with things which are installed to the default /.wine which cannot be edited/deleted.

Has this bug lost Activity? Im Using 10.10 32bit and Im having this error. and it wont let me edit any Menu Items. I reported as a Separate bug thinking it was a separate issue. I made Bug 630312 . I only get this error when I try to edit a menu item.
