Bug Description
after upgrading to dapper and thereby the 2.6.15-21 kernel on a x86 distribution and a machine with only sata disks. the machine panics quite quickly on boot as it can't find any root disks (sda1). I've seen no problems with this on machines with plain pata disks. this was testes lasts after an update/upgrade on tuesday the 25th on 18.00 UTC

We can't really do much about this bug without further information on the system that you are trying to run it on. Which chipset is the SATA controller? Which motherboard?
