I'm running VLC on Karmic (latest updates) on a machine with a Radeon 2600XT and fglrx-drivers and the fullscreen-controls in VLC are not working when using the OpenGL-renderer.

My controls wouldn't show up in full screen either (Karmic with VLC 1.0.3 or any other version). It has nothing to do with drivers, compiz (I use it) or anything like that in my case I think, as I just deleted my config files (vlc-qt-interface and vlcrc) and now my controls appear.
