crash w/gnome-nettool w/o arguments

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-nettool

on my very old celeron laptop...

All you have to do is launch gnome-nettool either from the command line or from the GNOME menu.

The window comes up w/all its tabs. Then it segfaults.

This bug seems to be related to, but is not the same as bug 326184 - that bug segfaults w/certain arguments. This is a bug that effects the default install of Dapper Drake (beta) on my machine.

I'm including a backtrace, if I can figure how (this is my first bug reported w/ launchpad)

Some quick notes:

I should have specified that bug 326184 is in GNOME's database at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326184 .

The equivalent bug was filed in launchpad as bug 24242 - so you can find details there.

Finally, the version of gnome-nettool that exhibits this error is 2.14.1-0ubuntu1.

Thanks for your bug report.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce this crash. If you still can, please generate another backtrace with libglib2.0-0-dbg and libgtk2.0-0-dbg installed. Using a debug build of gnome-nettool would also be helpful (information at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash).

Please also try under a new user account.

Sorry about that. Ultimately gave the laptop away. Was running dapper on it and the bug must have gotten fixed because by the time I gave it away I didn't remember the crash still being there...
