Bug Description

Binary package hint: tangerine

Tangerine seems to block the session log out. On log out, the session manager displays a warning saying an unknown application is still running and asks for confirmation. Uninstalling tangerine solves this issue (but obviously I don't have tangerine at all anymore).

Remedy:
Complete removal.

"pkill tangerine" after removal to complete process, as removal itself does not stop processes still running

Running "killall tangerine" before logout also solves the issue. (Just as "forcing" logout, but that's not of a help :(...

Tangerine was a great app except for this bug. Now I've removed it from my system.

I used to use Rhythmbox's DAAP plugin for that purpose before Ubuntu switched to Banshee.

I wonder if there's anyone working on Tangerine.

Bug fixed uninstalling Tangerine from Ubuntu 12.04.

The importance of this bug is currently set to "Undecided" what is strange since being unable to turn off the computer makes (non-geek) users crazy.

The problem is that it seems like Tangerine has no devs working on it. So
it would require someone to come up and fix it.
