Close doesn't work if a changelog is being downloaded

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-notifier

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the update-notifier dialog.
2. Have a slow network connection so that you see "Downloading the list of changes..." in the Changes tab.
3. Notice the Cancel Download button
4. Click the Close button.

Expected Result: Dialog closes.
Actual Result: Dialog does not close. If you click Cancel Download, then click Close, it works as expected.

I think this is fixed now. It's hard to reproduce when I'm on a fast network, though.
