Bug Description
Posting the $series/+source page, used to input vcs import details, yield the following warning:
"Request ignored. You need to select a source package."
This happen because one of the fields of the form allows creating an association with a source package. However, this field has nothing to do with vcs imports. People are confused by the warning and think the vcs imports import details they posted were ignored.

The error message you get about missing package information is spurious and confusing. Actually, entering source details work.
Once you have entered the source details, the vcs-imports operator needs to jump through a few hoops to get the import running, so you should file a support request or contact me directly. But fixing that is still another can of worms. Work on that is planned after removing the intermediate conversion to baz.
