No icon added to menu

There is no .desktop file for pingus.

Btw, I couldn't find a suitable icon to show, so it just shows the "no icon" icon. Otherwise, it validates and shows correctly (Gnome, but probably KDE as well ). Thanks.

The /usr/share/menu/pingus file points to the /usr/share/games/pingus/images/pingus/boarder.png icon. It looks okay. (Better than nothing, at least.)

I missed that :( Anyway, that should go in /usr/share/pixmaps.

Well, it also looks like it's a graphic file used in the game.

In cases like this, the icon should be duplicated or linked in both places, or fixed upstream, as otherwise maintenence becomes very annoying.

I already spent a few hours with this game

I just came on to report the lack of a .desktop, but it seems it has been done. Here is an alternative logo to use if you prefer - I just whacked together a couple of the images from the game. It may be too detailed as a small icon, but may be better than what we have.

Here is the gimp source file if anybody has more talent and time to apply to this!

The attached debdiff contains a slightly modified version of the above .desktop file ("Arcade"->"ArcadeGame"), and an xpm rendition of the Proposed Logo (boarder.png is not square).

Oops! Don't upload that. It only looked like it worked. The files are in the wrong (and completely inappropriate) places. I'll go re-familiarise myself with pbuilder now :)

I've updated the patch. This one actually works, and installs everything in the correct places :)
