Bug Description

Binary package hint: mountall

My machine refuses to boot in Karmic, except through me booting via a rescue shell.

The symptoms match bug 470776 exactly.

Bug 470776 has been fixed for Lucid, but Lucid is four months away.

I would like to have the booting issue fixed in Karmic.

Please don't file duplicate bugs. Requesting a SRU should follow the SRU process https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates which should be done in the original bug. In this case, Scott James Remnant has already said this issue doesn't qualify for a SRU. You'll have to wait for Lucid.
