Bug Description
Binary package hint: mplayer
mplayer 2:1.0~rc2-0ubuntu19
ubuntu 9.04
when i watch a video using gmplayer and then resize the video window, the window is allowed to be resized to any aspect ratio (to which the video is then stretched to fit), causing a distorted video.
when i watch a video using mplayer (from the command line, for example), resizing the window maintains the correct aspect ratio.
i cannot find where i read it, but i think the ability for the window to maintain the aspect ratio is determined with "hints", which i guess gmplayer is not utilizing.
