Bug Description
While starting te live/install CD on my laptop a long period of time nothing happened. After some more time a message told me that Ubuntu had been waiting for the CDrom (DMA timeout)
This message came another two times and it seems Ubuntu tried another approche (correct because my CDrom works under PIO)
My point is:
I (and i think many others) will try again after two timeouts.
Wrong, because you just have to wait for the three trials and plan B (PIO?) to start.
I like to insert a message after the first DMA-timeout. So people know the system will try DMA for three times and will proceed with plan B (PIO?) after that.
(That is as i am right with my idea of the procedure)

Why doesn't DMA work on your drive? It would be better to either solve that issue, or automatically disable DMA on your hardware
