Bug Description
If you are using ext3 filesystem (I believe it is the default in Ubuntu), and you boot a number of times, your partition is checked in order to keep the system integrity.
It last some minutes and which means waiting in some times, means losing very important time other times.
When any of your partition is going to be checked in next start, system should advise you about it.
Perhaps the "light bulb" used for update-manager or something similar could be use.
