Bug Description

Ever since I updated to edgy, zsnes has been segfaulting on startup.

To reproduce the crash, all I have to do is try to start zsnes.

From experience in Gentoo, I believe this is related to upgrading GLIBC2.4 (from 3.X) which ZSNES doesn't appear to be compatible with (builder problem rather than client).

This is a debdiff that fixes the issue for me.

The issue is fixed in the svn version of znses. Since the zsnes developers do not seem to release versions quite often, I requested that the packagemanager makes an SVN snapshot instead of packaging the 1.4.2 version again.

I can confirm this bug as well. Zsnes is an important program for me so I hope this gets fixed soon. In the meantime, I am a noob when it comes to debdiff files, how do I apply the file that was posted?

Thanks in advance.

I can confirm this bug too. I have just downloaded the SVN sources, but I would like to run a stable version; so, how do I apply the patch?

Stable version 1.50 was just released a few days ago. I downloaded all the
dependencies and compiled it, and it works very well. You shouldn't need the
patch anymore.
