Binary package hint: openoffice.org
openoffice in edgy wont launch. none of the apps for openoffice.org launch. trying to open from menus i never even get a start dialog and launching in terminal i get

fopen() failed.: No such file or directory
Segmentation fault

thats writer itself but same error on any OOo app. i cant get a backtrace (assuming its a script is why.).

I get this too.
The problem is a missing /etc/openoffice /sofficerc file.
The correct contents of this file:
[Bootstrap] r=0,0,128 n=-1,-1
Logo=1
ProgressBarColo
ProgressSize=-1,6
ProgressPositio
Creating the file with those contents fixes the problem for me.
