Just though i'd add what i'm using now. Seeing as xml is eventually going to replace this program anyway I took the script from the comments on the page bellow and updated it a little. Every time I add photos to my dropbox dir I just run the script. Ex. sudo /usr/local/bin/mkwlppr.sh Dropbox.xml 14400 /home/david/Dropbox/Photos/*.jpg

The script now puts the xml files in the right dir so all you have to do is select it in (change background). Of course, could put this in (sudo crontab -e) and have it auto update.

Also fails to autostart with 64 bit Lucid kernel. I get this in .xsession-errors:
gnome-session[1837]: WARNING: Could not parse desktop file /home/kevin/.config/autostart/drapes.desktop: Key file does not have key 'Type'
gnome-session[1837]: WARNING: could not read /home/kevin/.config/autostart/drapes.desktop

Eric, I can't get your patch to apply to the Ubuntu source (0.5.2-3.2). I get the following output from patch:

patching file drapes/ConfigMenu.cs
patching file drapes/Wallpaper.cs
patching file drapes/ConfigMenu.cs
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n] n
Apply anyway? [n] n
Skipping patch.
1 out of 1 hunk ignored -- saving rejects to file drapes/ConfigMenu.cs.rej
patching file drapes/Makefile.in
patching file drapes/Traylib.cs

I have therefore marked this bug as "patch-needswork". If you wanted to retry and submit a new patch, I'd love to check it out, just attach it here and remove the patch-needswork tag. Thanks alot!

The .desktop file which is added to ~/.config/autostart is defective. In particular it lacks a Type=application line.

Attached is a functional launcher. Delete the existing one from ~/.config/autostart and replace it with the attachment. That will fix the problem.

Note that the replacement launcher in #8 is a workaround not a fix. But it'll do the job until a proper fix comes along.

Thanks for the workaround. It works like a dream.
