I try to do how described here: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/05/how-to-add-thunderbird-to-messaging.html. But in russian Ubuntu I don't see Contacts and Compose New Message (not in english, not in russian). I think it's a bug.

And I think that integration must do automaticaly when I select thunderrbird as default mail client.

This is unbelievable. The indicator applet has to be one of the craziest departures from common sense in Ubuntu's otherwise great history.
