gnome-terminal transparency doesn't work in compiz/AIGLX

Bug Description

gnome-terminal in gnome 2.15 should use the transparency offered by X.org when running compiz on AIGLX, but it uses only the old transparency, of displaying the background image of the X server after the terminal was moved, not when it is being moved.

i think the problem is with AIGLX since it appears to work on edgy with gnome-terminal, compiz and XGL.

I'm running AIGLX /w compiz and the gnome-terminal transparency is working as advertised. Is AIGLX loading correctly on your machine, how about compiz?

Could you please attach a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Cheers,

Warren

all the compiz effects are working fine, so I assume it's working. I'll post a the requested file ASAP.
Note that I start X, then only later run compiz.

I'm actually running compiz on AIGLX on the knot2 liveCD, for testing. my main computer is still running dapper, without compiz. Don't know if the liveCD thing could be related to the problem.

OK, now I updated my dapper to edgy and it works. maybe it didn't work only when using X/compiz on the liveCD? will mark the bug as rejected.

Changed in xorg-server:
