What's the issue, what happens? What makes you think that the newer libgtk is the cause?

hi michael,
what happens is: i can hear one or maybe two seconds of audio with a black screen, than the audio stops... and nothing more happens...

it broke with the introduction of the clientside decoration patch in libgtk 2.21.0-1ubuntu2 if i "downgade" to the libgtk version of debian unstable it works normal again...

sometimes it looks like this: the part of the "tv screen" where there is no video (normaly black) appears completely transparent...

the above problem appears if i use the "xv" driver.
if using "xshm" driver everything works fine but the video appears semitransparent (see screenshot).

I assume that the same thing happens when you use the xine player? This is probably your video driver's implementation of xv (if I understand this correctly)

affects: me-tv (Ubuntu) → xine-lib (Ubuntu)

i dont use xine player, but you are right its probably xine related problem.
anyway, the rgba/csd patch has been reverted for now... so everything works as expected.
although i think it will be applied again later in the maverick release cycle.
