Bug Description

Binary package hint: libhoard

Most applications segfault if libhoard is in LD_PRELOAD.

This has come to my attention as I am trying to reduce memory usage in Ubuntu via a number of techniques; use of alternate allocators is a potential component of this.

The current version (2.1.2d-4) is quite old. http://www.hoard.org/ lists more recent versions. If you are interested in this software you could try the last version from the homepage.

The package got removed from Debian already because it was unmaintained and out-of-date.
