Impossible to install new printer with kdeprint (edgy)

Bug Description

While trying to install a new usb printer, it is impossible to click the "local printer (usb, lpt, serial)" radio button.
Works perfectly with gnome-cups-manager.
Once the printer is installed, kdeprint perfectly handle printing queue etc...

Using socket connection to cups resolves the issue.
Uploaded new kubuntu-default-settings.
~/.kde/share/config/kdeprintrc and ~/.kde/share/apps/kdeprint/ need to be removed and kde restarted for the changes to apply with that new package.

I have the same problem, the local printer button is greyed out.
Could you explain again how to resolve the problem please?
