Graphical Grub editor (Boot Options config) needed

Bug Description

Ubuntu/Debian needs a graphical "Boot Options" config panel under System -> Administration written in GTK+2 (or possibly something like wxPython, which I understand would make it native to KDE as well).
It should be aimed at Grub2 and preferably introduced simultaneously (I don't know when it will be ready). Ideally no-one should have to edit a menu.lst manually ever.
It should have the capabilities that Grub2 has, like adding/editing entries (it should be able to detect/confirm installed OSes and their location), setting timeout, colours and Bootsplash (themeable), etc.

It should also be able to recover installed sytems from a LiveCD, ie you can tell it to change root to a particular install and fix/install Grub on the MBR.

The bugtracker is not meant for requesting new applications. You may
have better luck writing a specification for it.

I think this feature is must have, because editing GRUB by hand is difficult for new users.

Why do new users need to edit grub settings at all?

I agree with Dennis, this shouldn't be a bug report on grub. If someone wants to implement a graphical editor for grub that's great (maybe that's you since you assigned this bug to yourself, or maybe you did that on accident?), but it wouldn't belong in the grub package in any case.
