Bug Description

I noticed today when doing my daily edgy updates (though I believe it's been the case for some time) that when update-manager asks for my password to perform the upgrade after I click on "Install Updates," the dialog says that Synaptic needs my password, not the upgrade manager.

Thanks for your bug report. This is expected behaviour as update-manager spawns instances of synaptic to carry out some tasks such as updating.

no, it's a good and valid point. we cannot expect from a user to know this.
