just upgraded to kde 3.5.4 and can no longer access the appearance section of system settings. here's the output from running 'systemsettings' at the console and clicking 'appearance'

After dist-upgrading from 3.5.3 to 3.5.5 my Appearance System Settings crashes with this output usually. Sometimes the output is the one listed in the linked bug report.

If there is any info that I can be of interest (config files, etc...), please let me know. Right now I am not sure what can be useful. Maybe the original reporters for the two bugs, and I can compare some settings or something?

Could you try deleting (or moving) ~/.kde and see if you still get this crash?

Nope, that doesn't help. The crash still occurs. A new .kde is created.
