Bug Description

Tested all avalable amd64 kernels in Dapper: 2.6.15.23, 2.6.15-25, 2.6.15-26. None of them will show the second PCIe card (of course it doesn't matter what nvidia driver I have if the device does not show). NVIDIA engineers suggest compiling a new kernel... not an option in Dapper. As a reference, Mandriva kernel 2.6.12-12mdksmp can detect it. Maybe the PCI bridges detction is wrong..?

This is the output of lspci. There's supposed to be another identical "VGA" card at 0000:81:00.0.

This bug still exist on 7.10 kernel 2.6.22-14 and others. The only way to have both cards appear is to do acpi=off kernel parameters, but that makes me lose a lot of other features I want (like RT timers)

Can you do the following booting WITHOUT the kernel option (acpi=off):
sudo dmidecode > dmidecode_without.txt
lshal > lshal_without.txt

Then, do the following booting WITH the kernel option (acpi=off):
sudo dmidecode > dmidecode_with.txt
lshal > lshal_with.txt

These commands will produce lengthy outputs. You can trim out the irrelevant info with a text editor if you like.
Also, report which kernel your testing against.
Thanks.
