Bug Description
I installed ubuntu a couple of days ago and straight when it booted I had this problem. Basically all GTK interface buttons (like ok, cancel) got lines or dots over them. Best of all to check out a screen shot:

The lines vanish when you move the mouse pointer over a button. I have updated all packages and upgraded to edgy, but the issue is still there.
