Bug Description

[needs-packaging] Whaaw!

"Whaaw!" is a lightweight media player that uses GStreamer as its backend and is lightweight. It's intended to be a light replacement for Totem, but with no dependencies, making it perhaps ideal for the lighterweight 'buntu variants, or even for the user who just wishes for something with a smaller footprint.

URL: http://home.gna.org/whaawmp/
License: GNU General Public License v2 (or later)
Notes: The only downside I can think of is that its project page on http://gna.org/projects/whaawmp/ lists it as "Beta". There is an official PPA linked from the "Downloads" page of the homepage at https://launchpad.net/~thepizzaking/+archive/ppa though only packages for Jaunty and Intrepid exist. Still, if development is on-going, I see no reason why this couldn't be included in the repositories (if still not made default for the reasons listed)
