app-install-data contains non-free icons from multiverse, app-install-data-commercial contains even more unfree stuff

Its not such a big problem for us IMHO because we allow non-modifiable bits explicitely for main in http://www.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/components

So long as they are redistributable, this is OK. Are there any where that is in question?

I looked at the available icons and the only icon that is questionable is "omnis.png". All the others are re-distributed by us already because they come from universe/multiverse. I will send a mail to mdy asking him about the agreement that was signed over this repository.

We will have to make sure that when we add new apps to dapper/edgy-commercial (even if they are not hosted by us) the agreement that is signed contains a section that we are allowed to distribute the icons (or at least one icon).

I think this bugreport can be closed once that is part of our policy.

Mdy is clarifing the status of the omnis icon, otherwise we are fine. It will also be part of the policy from now on to make sure that we have proper written permission for the icons of 3rd party vendors for g-a-i.

Fixed in edgy now with the latest app-install-data-commercial uplaod.
