Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Fresh install of Edgy Knot-3. OpenOffice.org launches properly from menu, and acts correctly when clicking a document to open.

Program crashes when attempt is made to save a file, at the point when nautilus file-chooser opens. No further information is given. Program similarly crashes when attempt is made to open a file using menu File->Open or menu-button.

Files will save if user chooses to abandon recovery attempt. This suggests difficulty is in OO.org/Gnome interface.

Bruce,

Thanks for that.

How is it possible to find bugs on Launchpad/Malone - I spent a good
hour yesterday looking to see if this was a dupe - to no avail.

Cheers,

Daniel

A quick comment on finding the bug, although it's off-topic:

You can search for packages at https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu
(although note https://launchpad.net/products/launchpad/+bug/61183 makes
it hard to actually find the package you're after). After finding your
package, you can click on "Bugs" and go to, eg
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bugs. I
then tend to try and find my bug just by looking at the titles of open
bugs.
