xnec2c lacks a .desktop file.

This bug applies to xnec2c, not to the software center.

Did set this bug to "confirmed" since I made the bug report out of a question from answers.launchpad.net that was written by somebody who did encounter this problem, too.

This is a while ago, but it is still actual for Quantal.

It would be fine to get this patch on(adapted if needed).

Hi PeterPall and melchiaros-

I have just uploaded the latest upstream version of the xnec2c (2.1beta) package to Debian. Since this version is marked as a "beta", I've only uploaded it to Debian's "experimental" repository for now; We will consider promoting it to the main Debian and Ubuntu repositories after a brief testing interval.

I also integrated the xnec2c.desktop file supplied by PeterPall into that package. Thanks for your contribution, PeterPall!

For current and recent Ubuntu versions, that xnec2c package is also now available in the Ubuntu Hams PPA. I would appreciate your feedback in testing this version:
