[xubuntu knot3]vmware can't install xubuntu: missing modules

Bug Description

I was trying to install Xubuntu 6.10 knot3 using vmware (vmplayer) when the installation reported that kernel modules were midding. I will attach a screenshot of that in a bit.

forgot to specify: I was trying to install using the i386 alternate CD.

could you try the beta and see if it still happens. Preferably on real hw since that is more relecant than vmware ;)

I'll have to do it via vmware as I don't have any test machines :) but, it should be installable via vmware as well bc ppl will use emulation to try it out. I'll report back.
