Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebluetooth

kdebluetooth can find my USB bluetooth adapter, and through it my cell phone, but if I try something that requires a verified connection (OBEX file transfer, for instance - something I've done successfully before) it won't pair successfully.

The phone will indicate a pairing request from my machine, then prompt for a PIN. kdebluetooth never prompts for a PIN to use, however, and using "1234" (which is what's in /etc/bluetooth/pin) doesn't work. I've also edited /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf (to replace the passkey "BlueZ" with "1234"), and restarted /etc/init.d/bluetooth, but that doesn't seem to help either.

If you're using Edgy, this is probably caused by Bug #56651

My apologies for not including any version info whatsoever. That would've been...useful. :-)

Yes, I'm using edgy - kdebluetooth version is 0.99+1.0beta1-12ubuntu5. Looking at #56651, you're probably right - that's likely what's causing my phone pairing problems.
