Bug Description

While upgrading persy with "apt-get upgrade" the following error messages occured:

Richte persy ein (0.11) ...
gtk-update-icon-cache: No theme index file.
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von persy (--configure):
Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück
Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
 persy
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Furthermore, it seems that the version of persy running on my pc is now not able to do any remote syncs.

My system is a Kubuntu 10.04 with an Athlon 64 X2. Uname -a prints out the following line:

hi thorsten

thanks for the report. i think kubuntu is missing the ubuntu-mono-dark icons set. can you please check if the following folders do exist?
 /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark and
/usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-light

if this folders exists, maybe apt created them in the installation process for persy. can you check of other icons than persy related ones are in these folders?

thanks!

until i can fix this, you may want to use the old package:
https://launchpad.net/~tmassassin/+archive/ppa/+files/persy_0.10_all.deb

Changed in persy:
importance: Undecided → High
status: New → In Progress

Thank you very much,
the new package solves the problem.

By the way, I had the same problem on my 32bit-laptop but the new package runs well on this machine too.
Additionally the syncing of my pc at home seems to fail because of the amount of transferred data.

Thanks again, persy is a very nice tool.

does this only fail on the "initial" sync? i had a problem with this once where i wanted to sync a 4gb repository. i did wrote a very small guideline down which might work for you.

No it wasn't a first sync, but I'm syncing my pc at home less often and in the last week I had changed some data in the university and on my laptop. I think the problem occured during the dsl-disconnect.
However, with the new package and a new sync the problem was solved anyway.
