Bug Description

Binary package hint: kicker-applets

Hi,

I use Java 6 for my development activities. I tried the new feature included in Java 6 (Ability to access system tray). However, when I run the program, icon does not appear in the system tray. It used to work fine with Slackware 10.2 (KDE 3.4) and Windows XP. What is going wrong? How do I fix it?

The Classes I used are,

java.awt.SystemTray [http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/SystemTray.html]
java.awt.TrayIcon [http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/TrayIcon.html]

Java6 is not supported by Ubuntu. But check whether you have the
notification area in your panel.

Changed in kdeaddons:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected
