Bug Description

Every time I log into my up to date Edgy system a libnotify bubble pops up to tell me that my Battery is Fully Charged, even though it is clearly not (even the graphs in the Information panel of the power manager show that the battery did not start out fully charged at login).

This is on an IBM T41.

This is only happening while I'm running on battery, btw.

Hmm, should have thought about this a little longer before posting: I just got a message that I am out of battery, but it appears to have come up because my second battery just became fully discharged. Now the laptop is running on my first battery.

This could mean that gpm is reporting "battery charged" if any battery is fully charged, and "battery empty" if any battery is empty. In which case, this might be a dup of another bug.

Apologies.

Stu, can you open an upstream (gnome.org) bug and I'll try to debug this there. Thanks.

The fix was committed upstream, and should be released with gnome-power-manager 2.18.
