Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpdf

Using Edgy with latest updates.
I don't know exactly when it started but today I tried to print a pdf file from kpdf and the application crashes.
The following message appears on the console:
kpdf: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde3/libkpdfpart.so: undefined symbol: _ZN11PSOutputDevC1EPcP4XRefP7Catalogii9PSOutModeiiiiiiii

This happened with all the pdf files I tried.
This occurs as follows: I open the print dialog, select my printer (Samba shared printer), and when I press the print button the application crashes.
I tried to reinstall kpdf, kdelibs, kdecore, kdeprint, but the problem stays.

I can print without problem from kdvi.

Same here, as soon as i try to print with kpdf, there is a bug in edgy's /usr/lib/kde3/libkpdfpart.so

I recompiled kdegraphics-3.5.5 (vanilla) and copied the new libkpdfpart.so and now my kpdf can print without crashing. I'm attaching it in case anyone wants to try.

I get the same problem here, and it crashes also when opening a pdf on a konqueror tab.

It's not only just print; clicking on a PDF file and loading it in Konqueror via its KPart gives this exact error too... This didn't happen until upgrading to 3.5.5 on edgy. So KPDF crashes, and the view changes to (View>View Mode>) KGhostView which is absolutely inconvenient.

Oh and forgot to mention, thanks Gabriel, I can confirm that recompiled libkpdfpart.so works here!
