This may be related to Bug 27269. There have been a lot of changes lately, so I haven't really been able to follow how the windfarm issues have been lumped together. There was also a claim that this had been fixed in Alpha "Edgy Eft" I can however confirm that the problem is still there.

Sorry, I am just a guy that has been trying to get Ubuntu working on his two year old G5 single for a loooong time. I have looked at the man pages, but I haven't gotten a lot out of this. What is it I should do and how do I do it? I am trying to help to make sure that Ubuntu works correctly on a G5 single in the future.

Should I assume that this isn't going to be the way to configure this issue when "Edgy Eft" is released in October?

The 18 month support period for Edgy Eft 6.10 has reached it's end of life. As a result, this is being closed. However, Hardy Heron 8.04 was recently released. It would be helpful if you could test the new release and verify if this is still an issue - http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download . If the issue still exists, please open a new report with this issue. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this transition. Thanks!
