This problem still exists in Edgy BETA!
DAO burning doesn't work either; it'll instead use SAO. Below is the debug output from k3b using SAO:

is possible: neither CD-ROM, nor DVD or DVD DL works.

i haven't tried it in edgy deta, but i have the same problem with dapper...
