Is this using the livecd or is kde already installed? do you have a crash report for it in /var/crash/. Can you please provide a backtrace if kde is installed and you just cant start it.

ou may find it helpful to read
"How to report bugs effectively",
        http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html.
We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description
of the problem.

Sure. How much time do you give him or should I open a new bug?
At least the symptoms are the same. As soon as the KDE desktop shows up you get a message of the kdesktop crash.

The buttun "Continue" from the installer does not respond on step 2 (time zone) and sometimes on step 1 (language). This is probably related, right?

Go ahead open a new bug with the logs that you have and if they end up the same we will mark them as dups.
