Bug Description

Started up XMMS as per normal, display is a little small so I clicked on the D to set it as double size, an area of the screen double the original size then becomes scrambled and I can no longer interact with XMMS (though if it was playing a file it kept playing).

If I run it via a terminal session the following message appears when I click on the D:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 5170 error_code 8 request_code 72 minor_code 0

I also see this problem after upgrading to dapper. If your config has double-size enabled, xmms simply crashes on startup.

Someone on the Ubuntu forums gave me this script to run XMMS which solves the problem, don't know if it will help fix the bug.

export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 && xmms

This patch makes XMMS choose a visual with the same colour depth as the original image for the doublesized version. Works for me(tm).
