Bug Description

Yesterday I upgraded from dapper to edgy and when I access to system:/media with konqueror it doesn't shows my root directory. If I enter / in the address bar it shows me only 2 directories: media and home.
I can access the other directories if I enter the name in the address bar p.e /lib, /usr ...

Excuse my poor English.

This is actually a new feature of KDE. As such I am marking this rejected because it is not a bug. See http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/2231 for more information.

Kubuntu creates .hidden files in a directory, which allows folders to be hidden even if they don't begin with a period (.) The .hidden file is a list of folders or files to be hidden from normal Konqueror viewing. To see these files/folders again, either check View->Show Hidden Files or edit the .hidden file and remove the line with the file/folder you would like to be visible.

Though I agree that this may not be entirely intuitive, it is a step that KDE and Kubuntu have taken towards simplifying the file system.

Please feel free to reopen this bug if you think this feature should be removed or implemented differently. Thank you for the bug report.
