nautilus search does not handle accents

Bug Description

nautilus search (with beagle installed) will not return valid results if their is an accent in the path.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use and what locale? Could you give an example of name having that issue?

I'm using ubuntu edgy

nautilus 2.16.0-0ubuntu3
beagle 0.2.9-1ubuntu3

LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8

ex:

I have a directory ~/Téléchargements. If I search for something matching the file ~/Téléchargements/some_doc.pdf the file will not show up in the results. Now if I move the file to some other directory, say ~/Desktop for instance, The file will appear in the results of the search with the same search terms.

This problem does not occur with beagle-search and seems to be frontend specific. However something similar occurs in deskbar-applet: accentuated matches appear but result in a crash of the beagle plugin when selected (see bug #37153in deskbar-applet: https://bugs.launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/deskbar-applet/+bug/37153).
