Bug Description

In dapper the battery state was reported correcty by the tooltip of gnome-power-manager.
In edgy there are only 4 states:
#1 100% and 3 hours left
#2 66% and 2 hours left
#3 33% and 1 hour left
#4 0% and 0 hours left

present dischare current is reported correctly:

Thanks for that comprehensive debugging output. From that I've found your battery is reporting that it is at 1mV (probably due to an ACPI bios fault) and therefore we are calcuating the value incorrectly. This has been fixed in the last couple of weeks in HAL, adding it as a known quirk with some batteries. You might want to check out https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8593 and try the patch there. You can also try CVS HEAD HAL and that should also fix things.

You ubuntu guys might want to pull in this specific HAL patch, as it should apply cleanly to 0.5.7.

yes this only happens with edgy. I had no problems with dapper.
