Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Today Oct 3, midnight GMT, i went to do an automatic update (84 updates were listed and received the message given in the summary above which requested ....
"Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport"

Did an update today and while it gave similar messages, instead of chosing the distibution upgrade option i chose the proceed anyway path and the issue seems to have gone for the moment

This sounds like a transient error in the archive (this sometimes happens when some updates are already available, but other are still being build and not yet published).

Does it work now? If so, I would like to mark it a wishlist bug to improve the error message.

I have had no further problems and everything is operational now ... yes it works now! By all means move it wish list.
