Bug Description

I've not found this bug, I have tried searching. When plugging in a Samsung YP-U1 2Gb USB Flash player into Kubuntu 6.06.1 on a Sony Viao PCG-FX701 the devices in KDE displays 8.4Gb Removable Drive. The drive automounts properly etc. as sda1, and displays the proper size with 'df -h' as 2Gb. But KDE labels it incorrectly.

This is obviously not a major problem, but new users may be confused and believe they have more space than they actually do (Speaking of Moms, Dads etc. not Geeks ;-) ). Right clicking on the icon and displaying properties does display correct file usage and max size in KDE too though. Where it is getting the 8.4Gb I am not sure.

If any extra info is required just let me know.

Thanks,

Félim

Not sure I was clear on this, by caption of 8.4Gb, I mean the text below the icon that appears on the desktop and inside media:/ in Konqueror.

Same issue on my YP-U1 1GB.

/dev/sda1 992M 850M 142M 86% /media/usbdisk

The desktop icon reads "4.2G Removable Media"

pdate that this is still an issue in Edgy. It shows up in the description, although not in the KDE Icon caption anymore, which shows up as a usbdrive. Using properties it does report the correct 2 GB size.
