Bug Description

I don't know how to formulate the problem, this is my first bug report and I hope it will be solved. I have a laptop with wide screen (1280x800 resolution). I downloaded Ubuntu 6.10 beta and try to boot it on my laptop. No boot method worked. I tried all possible resolutions and both methods, regular and safe graphical mode. Neither of them worked. I had the similar problem with 6.06, I couldn't boot it in graphical mode but the safe mode worked. On 6.10, niether mode works, when I try to boot, I have a black screen and I can hear the music when Ubuntu boots. So I guess the problem is with the graphics. I have Acer Aspire 5024 WLMi laptop, with ATI Radeon Mobility X600 and ATI x300 chipset. Ubuntu 6.06 works perfectly once I installed it.

Closing as out of date due to lack of response from reporter. Please open a new bug if it still exists in a newer version of Ubuntu.
