Multiple Authentication Popups when connecting to a WebDav Secured Site

Bug Description

When I'm connecting to a WebDav HTTPS Site (Through Places > Connect To Server) and the username contains a "@" (e.g. <email address hidden>), the authentification process loops indefinitely, making authentication popups appear constantly. The problem doesn't not occur when I'm using KDE.

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? That looks like a gnome-keyring problem and might have been fixed for edgy

Can you browse the share at all or is that like your login was rejected? It looked like it's maybe not handling the "@" to the username correctly which makes the authentification fail

Normally, after 10 popups, I can see the files I have on the drive. But
if I select a file or a folder, another batch of popups appear... so in
fact I can't do anything since I have 20+ popups to fill....

Does it work fine with gnomevfs-ls from a command line?

Reopening bug... Sorry for the late reply...

If I run gnomevfs-ls davs://webfolders.mcgill.ca/students/ppaque3 ... and authentify... I get an instant listing of all the files on the webdav folder, but the program takes over 2 mins to end and to get back to an empty terminal line....

Hope this helps

Sounds like a gnome-vfs problem then.

Would you consider this a duplicate of bug #24731 or bug #55033 ... Otherwise, should I report it upstream?

Thanks
